So I took Grant to the doctors for his 4 month well baby check-up and shots last Friday. Because Melanie can't stand the look of betrayal in the eyes of a newborn getting stabbed with a needle and likewise can't stomach the sound of a dentist drill, I was appointed early on our marriage to be the taker of children to the drills and needles appointments.
I'll spare you the tears part, but the upshot is that our little 4 month old is now 14 pounds and 26 inches long. That's 30 percentile for weight and 70 for height. If you recall, the scrawny little guy was born five weeks early at 6 lbs. 6 ounces/19 inches long. Needless to say, this is no longer the little baby we brought home from the hospital.
